Jenna Ortega is warning fans about Wednesday’s TikTok trend

Wednesday Addams doesn’t do anything stupid.

Jenna Ortega urged fans to stop participating in a viral TikTok trend involving the mistreatment of “Wednesday” dolls.

Recent videos show people coming across dolls of Ortega’s character from the hit Netflix series sold in stores and twisting their hair behind their heads, making the dolls look like they are bald.

In one video, over a dozen Wednesday Addams dolls are seen sitting on a display in a store after going bald.

At least one store even had to post a sign that read, “Do not ruffle your hair on Wednesday, you will be asked to leave.”

Ortega, 22, finally spoke out about the viral trend by commenting on one of the TikToks.

“Please don’t,” the actress wrote.

However, most fans were amused by the trend.

“Why are they so mad it’s so funny,” one TikToker wrote.

“It’s never that serious,” another person said.

Someone else wrote: “Now this is going too far, getting kicked out because she went bald???”

“But why does she even care so much,” read a fourth comment.

Even brands like Uno, Vitamin Water, Fanta, Rice Krispies Treats, Play-Doh and La Roche Posay got excited about the viral trend.

“The way the dolls look like they’re over it,” commented La Roche Posay.

“Wednesday” premiered on Netflix in November 2022 and will return for season two in 2025.

Created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the series follows the teenage daughter of Gomez and Morticia Addams as she enrolls at Nevermore Academy, where she is tasked with solving a murder.

Ortega told Times UK last year that she was initially unsure about signing up for the comedy-horror series because she wanted to focus more on her film career.

“I received the email and passed it on,” the “Scream VI” star said. “I’ve done so much television in my life. All I’ve ever wanted to do is film.”

However, she said that she changed her mind because of Tim Burton, the show’s producer. Since then, the two have worked together on the Beetlejuice sequel.

In an interview with Vanity Fair in August, Ortega teased that Wednesday’s second season would feature more “horror.”

“Not to say that we’re suddenly the most bloodthirsty show ever,” she clarified. “I mean, there are six-year-olds watching. We’re doing this thing now where Wednesday just shows up. She’s a bit of a jump scare herself.”
