Los Alamos reporter Maire O’Neill and her husband Mike O’Neill quietly celebrated the first six years of losalamosreporter.com earlier this month. Thank you to everyone who gave me moral support and encouragement on my journey. I’ve had the opportunity to meet and build relationships with people I never expected and have learned so much about great things happening in the county and region. I also learned that there are things going on behind the scenes that worry me. I have to smile when people ask me to “send one of your team” to cover events in the community, and I have to tell them that I am the only one with the reporter, which often surprises them. If I didn’t write your story or post your message, I’m sorry. The news to report is endless! Many thanks to my patient and understanding husband Mike O’Neill for always having my back.
