When “The Craft” was released in theaters in May 1996, it was a surprising hit with audiences.

The teen horror film, directed by Andrew Fleming, presented a twisted tale of high school witchcraft that captured something particularly adolescent and earned it cult classic status.

Rachel True, who played Rochelle in the film, recently posted a post on Instagram that makes it seem like she is a real witch who has discovered a potion for eternal youth.

She looks almost exactly like she did in the film from 30 years ago and delights fans.

The video announced a new episode of her podcast “The Circle is Podcast” and showed the 56-year-old actress with her cat. It earned many loving comments from her followers.

One user, @toshasimpson8, commented under the video: “I appreciate your natural beauty so much, I think it can sell anything.”

@kookykitty190 agreed, posting: “Rachel, if we could all age like you!!” You haven’t aged!’

@kriskarlaonline posted: “Your skin looks amazing as always!”

Fans of The Craft make up the vast majority of Rachel’s followers. The film tells the story of a trio of high school witches – Nancy (Fairuza Balk), Bonnie (Neve Campbell) and Rochelle (Rachel True) – who welcome a newcomer, Sarah (Robin Tunney), into their coven.

Sarah’s arrival completes their sacred sisterhood and the four outcasts begin to use their increased powers to take revenge on their bullies and enemies in their high school.

This tale of empowerment, revenge and the consequences of power resonated with many viewers, particularly through its depiction of complex female friendships and the darker side of youth.

Particularly noteworthy is the character of Rachel True. In the film, Rochelle casts a spell on her racist classmate Laura, causing her hair to fall out.

However, this act of revenge leads to a deep moment of remorse when Rochelle sees how upset Laura is about her hair. This subplot gives the film depth and ensures that it has a deeper resonance than many teen films.

Rachel continued to face challenges maintaining the success she had with The Craft, which reflected her character’s struggles in the film.

Despite her talent, Hollywood rarely offered her leading roles throughout her career, reflecting the limited opportunities for actors of color in the industry.

After The Craft, True starred in the sitcom Half & Half from 2002 to 2006, playing Mona Thorne.

More recently, Rachel True has returned to her supernatural roots with her role in Agnes (2021), a horror film about possessed nuns.

Off-screen, Rachel True has embraced a truly fun lifestyle.

She has become a professional tarot card reader in Los Angeles and in 2020 published True Heart Intuitive Tarot, a comprehensive guide that includes a 78-card tarot deck and 22 memoir essays.

This book offers readers a unique insight into her mystical practice, combining personal anecdotes with spiritual guidance. It quickly became a must-have for fans of The Craft.

Now, almost thirty years after her biggest hit, the actress looks as magical as ever.
