His journey will span numerous locations, showcasing an alternate Earth ravaged by war, creating a more dystopian and bleak world befitting the monsters that inhabit it. With surprising revelations about Lucy’s parentage and the church’s refusal to accept evidence placed before them, the story of priest is truly captivating and has plenty of twists and turns, which sets it apart from other superhero films that tend to be cut and dry.

5 Brightburn

A darker version of the Superman story

Everyone knows the story of DC’s Superman. As a baby, he falls into the ground and is taken in by a friendly couple. He uses his powers for the good of the world and is one of the noblest superheroes of all time. But what if Superman wasn’t the benevolent alien he appears to be in most media? Brightburn explores this idea as Brandon, the child who is found at the bottom of a crater by Tori and Kyle Breyer, who take him in and raise him as their own child.

As his powers emerge, the darker side of his nature also emerges. He becomes increasingly aggressive, which, combined with his ability to fly and his supernatural strength, makes for a fearsome combination. As is common in superhero films, Brandon appears to defeat all of his enemies, including his own family. The film ends on the ominous note that this could be just the beginning of their world’s problems, as there is no one who could possibly be strong enough to face it.

4 Constantine

An occult expert who fights demons

In the world of ConstantineA treaty that stopped demons from invading Earth is broken as demons attempt to enter the mortal plane via their human victims, and John Constantine is one of the few willing to do the dirty work, them to drive them out of people and banish them back to hell, while at the same time fighting lung cancer. He knows he is on track, but instead of living his life to the fullest, he continues his work, much to the chagrin of the angel Gabriel.

Constantine There is a very dark feeling throughout the film, conveyed by a dying protagonist and a demon-haunted world. Even though he ends up outsmarting the devil and coming back to life, escaping the flames of hell, for now it still doesn’t feel like the happy ending that superhero movies usually provide. Although he triumphed, it doesn’t feel like a complete victory for Constantine, and it’s up to viewers to decide whether he wins Lucifer’s gambit or if he gets his soul in the end.

The Daywalker who hunts vampires

One of the most forgotten and overlooked Marvel films, but still the ultimate classic. blade Metaphorically speaking, it definitely deserves more time in the sun. This superhero with the tough fangs owes his special abilities not to the fact that he is an alien or was bitten by a radioactive spider, but to the fact that he is a bloodthirsty creature of the night.

He is more of an anti-hero than an outright hero, using his nature to do good rather than harm. He cleanses the world of the scourge of his vampiric brethren, particularly a vampire named Deacon Frost, who revels in his nature and hosts the iconic blood-rave at his LA club. Vampires are often used for gothic horror or romance novels, as seen in films such as: B. can be seen Let the right person in or Only lovers are still aliverespectively. Starring as a vampire in a superhero film is certainly a novel and unique film and was worth it as this film is simply excellent.

2 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The multiverse leads to some strange and terrible places

Jumping from dimension to dimension inevitably leads to some strange and crazy places, and that’s exactly what happened Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness. Marvel’s first attempt at a surreal horror film revolved around the Scarlet Witch, who did everything and sacrificed everyone to be reunited with the two children she had in her spin-off TV series. She travels through different universes in search of the power she needs, and Strange tries to stop her machinations.

Marvel films always offer beautiful and impressive visuals thanks to the efforts of their SFX team as well as a sizable budget Multiverse of Madness borders on surreal horror, with scenes of unhinged madness and distorted characters in ways only people like John Carpenter could dream of. For anyone looking for a really scary superhero movie: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness should already be on your radar if you haven’t seen this film yet.

The night before Halloween, the day of their wedding, Eric Draven and Shelley Webster were brutally murdered. A year later, a crow comes to Eric’s grave and raises him from the dead to right the wrong done to them the year before. He experiences flashbacks of the tragic events and knows exactly who he has to choose.

The film revolves around how Eric completes his murderous to-do list and eliminates the dangerous, loud and insane gang members, often in extremely brutal and creative ways. Once his work is done, his body returns to calm and his mind leaves the spirit of Shelley. It’s a bittersweet ending in which the two lovers are reunited, but Sarah is left alone, once again without her friends. The crow maintains a melancholic and gothic atmosphere throughout the film that is not usually addressed in regular superhero films.
