Presidential candidates have a family feud at the SNL cold open

Donald Trump may have refused to have another debate with Kamala Harris, but Saturday Night Live had another idea so they could compete against each other again before election day.

Maya Rudolph’s Harris and James Austin Johnson’s Trump met again, only this time it was on the other side Family feud Stage with Kenan Thompson’s Steve Harvey.

“I’m Steve Harvey and I’ve spent the last 20 years hosting every show on television as an alibi for the Diddy parties,” says Harvey. “Tonight we have two political rivals.”

He then introduced the Democratic side, which included Harris (Rudolph), Tim Walz (Jim Gaffigan), Joe Biden (Dana Carvey) and Douglas Emhoff (Andy Samberg). On the Republican side it was Trump (Johnson), JD Vance (Bowen Yang), Donald Trump Jr. (Mikey Day) and a missing Melania Trump.

Grande returned to Studio 8H as host on Saturday SNL for the second time after her hosting debut in 2016. She was also the musical guest on Josh Brolin’s episode last season. Stevie Nicks was this week’s musical guest.

More will follow.
