seasonally warm Sunday; A cold front is coming next week

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A pleasant, clear night ahead as high pressure influences our weather. Low temperatures are expected to bottom in the upper 50s overnight and reach near 60 degrees in the morning.

We end the weekend with lots of sunshine and above-average conditions on Sunday. Temperatures will likely peak in the upper 80s to lower 90s in central Mississippi. Although it will be a warm day, it should feel quite comfortable outside with tolerable humidity.

Big changes to our weather are coming into the new work and school week. An emerging cold front is expected to move through early this week. This will likely bring the coolest weather so far this season as cooler, drier air filters behind the front. Highs will be in the 70s some mornings and lows will be in the 40s.

Speaking Tropes: Leslie is now considered post-tropical as it fades over the Atlantic. The NHC is still warning of another disturbance with a low chance of forming in the next seven days.
