LADA NEWS RELEASE

In celebration of Dyslexia Awareness Month, Los Alamos Dyslexia Advocates (LADA) will host an open house at Urban Park on Sunday, October 20, from 3 p.m.

The Los Alamos Dyslexia Advocates is a group of parents supporting parents.

We would like to invite anyone interested in dyslexia, reading difficulties and progress, or even special education and 504. We are, first and foremost, a group of parents who have one thing in common: we love exceptional children. We are here to help each other navigate the changing and diverse landscape before us.

Your children do not need a diagnosis to come to you. You don’t necessarily have to care about dyslexia to join us. Please join us if you have any concerns. Please bring your questions, your stories and your ideas. Get information from other parents about the options and resources available. Use your practical knowledge to support other parents.

Do you have a student who is not doing particularly well in school?

Does something seem to be getting in your way even though your child is intelligent?

Has your child been diagnosed or diagnosed with dyslexia?

Has a screening revealed that your student is at risk for dyslexia?

If your child has dyslexia, suspects dyslexia, or is simply not doing well in school and you would like to learn more, please join Los Alamos Dyslexia Advocates at our open house.
