“Whitmer mocked Holy Communion,” Catholic League President Bill Donohue said in a statement. “She has no room to deny the obvious. … What Whitmer did is political suicide.”

Whitmer was in an episode of Chip chat “Gretchen Whitmer Wants To Meet Her Kidnappers” with Plank on her YouTube channel. Earlier in the episode, Plank jokingly asked Whitmer if she wanted a “postpartum abortion” since her daughters left their cups lying around, to which Whitmer laughed and said, “There’s no such thing.”
