Caden Fioroni receives sponsor exemption for the PGA Tour’s Shriners Children’s Open

LAS VEGAS (UNLVRebels.com) – UNLV men’s golf senior Caden Fioroni has received a sponsorship exemption for the PGA Tour’s Shriners Children’s Open, taking place Oct. 17-20 at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

“We are excited and grateful for this opportunity. The Shriners Children’s Open has supported local professionals and UNLV golf,” said UNLV head coach Jean-Paul Hebert. “Caden has continued to prove himself at the collegiate level and now he has the chance to compete with some of the best in the world here in Las Vegas.”

Originally from La Jolla, California, Fioroni has posted two top-10 finishes in the first three events of the 2024-25 season. Most recently, the three-time Mountain West all-conference selection finished fifth with a season-low 11-under 205 while also helping UNLV to the team title at SMU’s Trinity Forest Invitational.

Fioroni, a sociology major, has achieved success in both the course and the classroom throughout his career. He is a two-time GCAA All-American Scholar, a three-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree and was named the 2023 MW Golfer of the Year.

At the event, Fioroni will join a field that includes six pros from the Rebel program, including Harry Hall, Garrick Higgo, Charley Hoffman, Kurt Kitayama, Taylor Montgomery and Ryan Moore.
