Buc-ee’s First Virginia Location Announces Opening Date

Buc-ee’s broke ground on its upcoming location in Rockingham County, Virginia on Tuesday, January 30th. The store will be located at the Exit 240 interchange on Interstate 81 (near Harrisonburg, VA) – over 125 miles and approximately two hours away. According to a recent report from WHSV3, the closure is underway in most of Montgomery County and is aiming now announces an opening on July 4th.

This will be the first Buc-ee location in Virginia, with an additional store planned for New Kent County. According to the company, “Buc-ee’s Rockingham County will occupy 74,000 square feet and feature 120 fueling stations.” Buc-ee’s favorite menu items, including Texas barbecue, homemade fudge, kolaches, beaver nuggets, jerky and fresh pastries, will all be available. “Visitors will find thousands of options for snacks, meals and drinks, as well as the same award-winning restrooms, cheap gas, quality products and excellent service that have won the hearts, trust and business of millions of people across the South for over 40 years.” A video of last summer’s progress can be found here.
