In celebration of National Book Month, beloved BookTok bestselling author Lucy Score teamed up with Club Crackers to design a vacation rental inspired by her mystery romance book series, Riley Thorn.

Located in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, both Score and the fictional Thorn’s hometown, the house is the perfect home base for book lovers to come together and immerse themselves in their favorite novels through creative design, immersive experiences and hidden Easter eggs.

Bookable on select weekends in October, guests can enjoy a cozy stay in character-themed rooms, complete with experiences reminiscent of the Score series, including book-inspired charcuterie boards, tarot card readings, etc dreamy Bedroom and a fully stocked wine fridge. An included itinerary written by the film’s score will also inspire a fun-filled weekend that reflects specific scenes in the novels – from Thorn’s donut picnic at Italian Lake to romantic moments on the Walnut Street Bridge.

“I’ve enjoyed creating experiences inspired by the light-hearted, mysterious fun of the Riley Thorn series and the delicious taste of Club Crackers to help book clubs have an adventure in Harrisburg, just like Riley and her quirky crew,” Lucy Score, author of the Riley Thorn series, said in a press release. “It brings me so much joy to see how this series brings people together, from the #BookTok comment sections to book club hangouts and now with the Book CLUB House.”

The historic four-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion can accommodate up to eight guests. Located right on the riverbank, the house is designed in a rustic country chic style to create a cozy, rustic retreat.

Score first announced the news of the partnership via Instagram on September 30, with fans sharing their excitement in the comments.

“I’m obsessed with my favorite show,” one person wrote. “Wow!! This is super cool!!” a second commented, while a third said: “So much fun! Look how amazing the house is!”

Fans will have the opportunity to book one of three complimentary two-night stays at Book CLUB House, with the third and final weekend available for 24-hour booking from Monday, October 14, 10 a.m. ET through Tuesday. , October 15 at 10 a.m. ET.

A TV series in the works

In December 2023, deadline announced that Score is number one New York Times The bestselling novel Things We Never Got Over was developed by Amazon MGM Studios, with Echo and Jane The Virgin author Amy Rardin serving as executive producer and showrunner.

Things We Never Got Over is the first book in Score’s Knockemount trilogy series. The novel follows the protagonist, Naomi Witt, a runaway bride who returns to the fictional small town of Knockemount, Virginia, where she takes care of a long-lost niece and a grumpy but handsome local man to whom she turns.

“When I started writing [“Things We Never Got Over”]“I didn’t know what it was about,” Score told Deadline in September 2024. “I thought, ‘Okay, it’s this grumpy hero and this opposites-attracting heroine that shows up in town.’ I thought that was what the story was about, but just before I started writing, one of my dear friends suddenly passed away and I struggled to write the book. I kept trying to just slap it away, but something wasn’t working. At some point I realized that I was writing about my own grief, and once I accepted that, the story really came together. “Things is still a romantic comedy, it’s still a love story, but behind it is the theme of how brave it is to love someone when you know you’re going to lose them.”
