NFL Week 6 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)

NFL Week 6 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)

Another week with some significant weather impacts. The Steelers and Cowboys game was delayed nearly 90 minutes due to rain and thunderstorms. Unfortunately, looking ahead to next week, it looks like we will have some similarly affected games. So read on below and “If the Weather Really Matters” to find out how best to position yourself to win the week.

We also had another incredibly powerful hurricane hit the southeastern United States this week. I sincerely hope that if you or your loved ones were affected, recovery is quick and everyone is safe.

Morning Game (London)

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Chicago Bears

LOW impact. It’s shaping up to be a pretty good day in London, with partly sunny skies, light winds and temperatures around 50 degrees during playtime. Notably, the Jags delayed their arrival in London by a day due to Hurricane Milton, according to the NFL. This is unlikely to impact most players, but is something you should be aware of as they will have less time to adjust to the time difference.

Play in the early afternoon

Arizona Cardinals @ Green Bay Packers

HIGH impact. Things are looking pretty bad in Green Bay on Sunday. The chance of rain is over 80%, the wind is gusting to minus 20 degrees and temperatures are over 50 degrees. When we see games like this, there is usually a greater reliance on the running game and short passes, but they generally remain low-scoring. Double check before kickoff and be prepared to flex.

Indianapolis Colts @ Tennessee Titans

MEDIUM impact. Nashville will be sunny and fairly warm, with high temperatures in the mid-80s. Then why the medium influence? I’m glad you asked. Winds will be in the low teens with gusts in the mid to upper 20s. If you have a kicker alternative, I would go with this as these conditions will likely cause issues with field goals.

Houston Texans @ New England Patriots

LOW impact. There will be a 40% chance of rain throughout the area during the game, but it doesn’t look like this will be enough to cause a ton of trouble during the game. Winds will be relatively light in the single digits and temperatures will be in the high 50s.

Cleveland Browns @ Philadelphia Eagles

LOW impact. Low chance of rain (less than 20%) during the game, winds in the single digits and temperatures in the mid-70s. Overall great conditions for the game.

Washington Commanders @ Baltimore Ravens

LOW impact. Overall, good conditions for the game. It will be a little breezy, with wind gusts in the single digits into the mid-teens. Temperatures in the 70s during the game.

Late afternoon games

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos

LOW impact. Sunny with high temperatures in the mid 70s. Winds will blow into the low teens, but not enough to really cause a problem.

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers

LOW impact. A beautiful day of football in Charlotte. No rain, light wind, temperatures in the low 80s.

Sunday night game

Cincinnati Bengals @ New York Giants

MEDIUM impact. There is a 60% chance of rain during game time, but the good news is that the wind will be mostly light. So it won’t be wet and windy. Lows in the mid 50s.

Monday night game

Buffalo Bills @ New York Jets

LOW impact. All of the weather that will impact the northeastern United States on Sunday will have subsided, so skies will be clear and fair Monday evening.

The weather is a dynamic thing and can change! Keep an eye on your local weather source before kickoff to see if anything changes significantly. Good luck!
