22 sixes, highest score by a Test playing nation: All the records India broke in their 297/6 against Bangladesh are listed

Team India was absolutely out of control in the third T20I against Bangladesh in Hyderabad. And that’s putting it mildly.

The fans at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium witnessed a batting masterclass from their team as they scored 297 runs in 20 overs after batting. They scored almost 300 in a T20I!

Sanju Samson starred and scored his first century in T20I cricket. He smashed the bowlers at all ends of the park, scoring 111 runs in just 47 balls. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav played an electric knock of 75, hitting eight boundaries and five sixes.

The sixes were never a “sellout” for India tonight as they put up a record-breaking total to cap off the series. Here is the list of T20I records broken by SKY & Co. in Hyderabad on Saturday.

  • Highest total in T20Is by a Test playing nation (297/6): Team India recorded the highest total ever scored by a Test-playing nation in T20I cricket with 297 points in Hyderabad. • Fastest to 100 runs in T20Is for India (7.2 overs): India reached the 100-run mark against Bangladesh in just 7.2 overs. They improved their team record of 100 runs in 8 overs against West Indies in Mumbai in 2019.
  • Second highest score in T20I history after 10 overs (152/1): India recorded 152/1 at half-time. • Second fastest T20I century for India (40 balls): Sanju Samson scored a 40-ball knock against Bangladesh in the third T20I. He is second only to Rohit Sharma on the list of India’s fastest centuries, hitting a 35-ball ton against Sri Lanka in 2017.
