2024 College Football Week 7 Tips Compare Spread, Odds, Lines and Betting Trends: Vegas Expert Meets Tips

Big Ten expansion brings with it some new conference rivalries that were once reserved for the Rose Bowl. Some of those will be the focus of the Week 7 college football schedule when No. 2 Ohio State plays No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Penn State takes on USC in the CBS game at 3:30 p.m. ET. The latest college football odds for Week 7, according to SportsLine consensus, have the Buckeyes at -3 and the Nittany Lions at -3.5 in their respective matchups. The SEC also has a loaded slate, highlighted by No. 9 Ole Miss (-3.5) vs. No. 13 LSU, No. 7 Alabama (-21.5) vs. South Carolina and No. 1 Texas (-15.5 ) against No. 18 Oklahoma in the first SEC edition of the Red River Rivalry.

The action continues well into the evening as No. 18 Kansas State (-3.5) takes on Deion Sanders’ Colorado squad and Heisman hopeful Ashton Jeanty and No. 17 Boise State take on Hawaii on CBS Sports Network, with both kickoffs taking place after 10 a.m. ET. The best college football predictions for Week 7

One of the top college football picks Marshall recommends for Week 7: He’s backing No. 7 Alabama (-21.5) to cover at home against South Carolina in kickoff at noon ET.

This could be a rare low-buy opportunity for Alabama after the Tide was surprised by Vanderbilt in Nashville last week. It was just two weeks ago that Alabama beat Georgia in Tuscaloosa, in a game in which the Tide led by as many as 28 points. So despite last week’s stumble, Alabama’s chances are still huge.

South Carolina, meanwhile, had shown signs early in the season of being a team that could be included in the SEC mix, but the Gamecocks utterly failed in a 27-3 home loss to Ole Miss last week. Marshall expects Alabama to refocus after it’s embarrassing at Vanderbilt and he likes the Tide, a team that’s on a 13-7 run against the spread in 2022. He also supports the over (50.5), as 12 of Alabama’s last 15 games have cleared the total score. See what other tips you can make here.
