We’re in the middle of fall, which means many of the year’s hottest films are about to hit theaters in hopes of making a splash come awards season.

One of our most anticipated titles from Luca Guadagnino Strangebut how could we not Are you excited about it? Without it you can’t spell the name of this website!

The Call me Your name Director meets again challenger Author Justin Kuritzkes adapted acclaimed author William S. Burroughs’ novel of the same name, which remained unpublished for years, likely due to its strong homosexual content.

In the film, former 007 plays Daniel Craig Lee – a semi-autobiographical version of Burroughs himself – an aimless man living in Mexico City in the 1940s who is trying to overcome his drug addiction when he falls in love with a younger man named Allerton in love (Outer Banks‘ Drew Starkey), recently discharged from the Navy.

After making its debut at the Venice Film Festival in early September Strange made its U.S. premiere at the New York Film Festival earlier this week and excitement for the film has peaked, especially as A24 launches a promotional campaign for its theatrical release on November 24th.

Craig, for example, is receiving some of the best reviews of his career for his fearless performance, and much has already been said about his explicit intimate scenes with Starkey, but also alt-pop star Omar Apollo, who goes all out for his acting debut. Literally.

Yes, as reported, the “Spite” singer’s brief but memorable cameo includes a scene where he records it all and drives it with Craig’s Lee. We would say, “We’ll believe it when we see it,” but that’s not necessary because somehow This special moment can already be found on the Internet.

Just to be clear, we definitely don’t want to encourage unofficial leaks of any kind and we 100% condone the act of filming even parts of a movie on your phone – where’s your theater etiquette, folks??? Out of shame!

However, the scene mentioned above is very common on the internet (whether we like it or not), if you know where to look, and the gays are already gagging. The same applies to another clip in which Craig and Starkey are prominently seen making love. From behind. Everyone be cool, okay?

Honestly, if there’s one silver lining to the situation, it’s that the leaks only seem to make certain people more upset Strange for yourself in full.

Sorry, Guadagnino, but you can’t make a movie with “numerous and fairly scandalous” sex scenes not Expect the gays to get upset. Of course, the shooting of these scenes was a big topic of discussion in the press before release – for example in a new interview. diversity Craig asked how he was able to film these intense moments with Apollo and “calm the newbie’s nerves”:

“Omar is a beautiful person,” said Craig – and we have to agree. “You just have to look out for each other. That’s all. We are all adults. We know what it’s about and try to portray the scene as realistically as possible.”

The funny thing is that many gays suspect that Apollo was probably much more excited than nervous:

Craig also had plenty of praise for his co-star Drew Starkey, although he admitted he hadn’t seen his previous work Outer Banks. It was actually this Netflix series that first brought him into the spotlight, but since then he’s quickly risen to the rank of the internet’s most popular baby girl Strangebrings him to a new level of attention.

“He’s such a beautiful person,” Craig says of Starkey. “We were lucky that he did the film, to have someone so young and so driven and also just knowledgeable about the world… He’s a big star. He is very mature. He knows what he’s doing. Simply dedicated. When you work with dedicated people, it’s very easy.”

Did anyone else notice he called both Starkey and Apollo “gorgeous”? He certainly won’t be dismissing these bi-curious dream father accusations any time soon. In fact, both Craig and his beautiful, talented wife Rachel Weisz have a fun, flirty, “we saw you from across the bar and we’re really into your vibe” energy that we’re kind of obsessed with.

Anyway, until we can see Starkey Strange For ourselves, we’ll just have to take Craig’s word for it!

We’re counting down to November 27th when Luca is Guadagnino Strange– also starring Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henry Zaga and Drew Droege – begins playing in select theaters across the country.
