Texas A&M Football injury report during the Aggies’ 7th bye week

Texas A&M (5-1, 3-0 SEC) is a little less than a week removed from defeating a top-10 Missouri team 41-10 last Saturday afternoon. The Aggies posted an impressive 3-0 record in SEC play and lead the conference standings.

After the win, head coach Mike Elko was quick to note that the team is in great health despite several injury issues this season, including starting quarterback Conner Weigman dealing with a shoulder injury before returning against the Tigers.

In his first start since Texas A&M’s 52-10 Week 2 win over McNeese, Weigman went 18/22 for 276 yards in what was one of the most memorable and impressive performances of his young career as the redshirt sophomore came off the bench Marcel Reed wants to remain the starter and took a 3-0 lead in his absence.

While it is unknown if Weigman is 100% healed, another week and weekend of rest and recovery should get him back to preseason form.

Elko also noted after the game that starting right guard Ar’Maj Reed-Adams, who has been dealing with a lower-body issue, is “doing well,” while center TJ Shanahan, who has missed the last two games, will be back against Mississippi could State as Elko holds out hope for practice next week.
