CLOT x adidas Open Pop-Up CLOT CAFE Shanghai

Edison Chen’s CLOT has announced its upcoming CLOT CAFE pop-up with adidas.

Taking place in Shanghai, the pop-up is inspired by Hong Kong’s Cha Chaan Teng culture and will even serve some of the city’s most classic dishes. Attendees can sample signature rice noodles, satay beef, French toast and the popular pineapple bun at the pop-up using special CLOT branded tableware. The pop-up is expected to launch the collaborative adidas Superstar on October 12th. The shoes get a tan and tan colorway, a nod to Hong Kong-style milk tea. Additional commemorative clothing items will also be available at the pop-up and JUICE STORE locations.

On Instagram, CLOT shared: “In celebration of Edison Chen’s CLOT superstar ‘Milk Tea’, CLOT and @adidasoriginals are launching a CLOT 凝結冰室 cafe pop-up in Shanghai, showcasing vintage design elements inspired by Hong Kong’s iconic Cha is inspired by Chaan Teng culture.” It continued: “Immerse yourself in the nostalgic atmosphere with classic retro tiles and neon signs and discover limited-edition merchandise that reflects the charm of Cha Chaan Teng, alongside the exclusive pre-launch of the new CLOT Superstar in the @juicestore, which was designed with “a nod to traditional craftsmanship. The pop-up offers a limited-time menu with five special sets, including some of Hong Kong’s most popular Cha Chaan Teng dishes, complemented by a cup of aromatic iced tea or hot milk tea – presented in the limited edition CLOT 凝結冰室tableware.”

The design of the pop-up borrows heavily from the 80s Hong Kong café style, combining vintage tiles with the deep shade of green known throughout the city. The Shanghai pop-up introduces the CLOT x adidas Superstar, which is available exclusively in China. Pre-launch begins October 12th, the first day the pop-up opens while supplies last. The pop-up ends on October 31st.
