Wilkes-Barre Police arrested Ricky Evans on an active warrant

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – An arrest warrant was executed by Wilkes-Barre City Police on Wednesday. Officers took Ricky Evans, 36, of Plymouth, Pennsylvania, into custody.

The incident occurred around 2:44 p.m. Officers on patrol identified Evans at 165 North Pennsylvania Avenue.

Law enforcement was already aware of an active arrest warrant for Evans. The arrest warrant was issued by the Luzerne County Sheriff’s Office.

Evans was approached and arrested without incident. After the arrest, he was taken to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility (LCCF).

Recipients included Sergeant Cory Horton, Sergeant Joseph Zevits, Sergeant Dillon Turner, Detective Nicole Busanic, Officer Carmen Firenze, Officer Andrew Lakawicz, Officer Ralph Liquori and Officer Daniel Munoz. Their collective efforts were instrumental in saving several lives.

    Police Chief Matthew J. Hintze and the command staff congratulated all honorees. This recognition highlights the teamwork and courage shown by the department’s employees in critical situations.

  • Kearny police launch search for missing 11-year-old girl

    Kearny, NJ – Kearny Police have issued an urgent alert regarding the disappearance of 11-year-old Tamryn Davis. Police are actively seeking the community’s help in determining her whereabouts.

    Tamryn Davis was last seen around 9 a.m. Tuesday near Davis Avenue and Oakwood Avenue. She is described as 1.50 meters tall and weighing 50 kilograms, with brown eyes, black dreadlocks and a dark complexion. On the day of her disappearance she was wearing a brown sweatshirt and jeans.

    The department shared a picture of Tamryn Davis on its Facebook page to help identify her. Authorities are asking the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that could help find the missing child.
