Los Alamos Police Release Crime Statistics for Q3 2024 – Los Alamos Reporter

Los Alamos Police Chief Sgambellone has released crime statistics through the third quarter of 2024 compiled by the Los Alamos Police Department’s Records Division.

In the third quarter of 2024, the main causes of crimes reported to police were simple assault (13), larceny/theft (25) and fraud (18). Fraud remains high and citizens are reminded not to provide personal information, especially social security numbers and bank account information. Scammers pose as law enforcement officers or other government officials. Any citizen who questions the accuracy of such emails and calls can contact the ministry at any time for verification.
