Placer County Sheriff’s deputies arrest a man after he was caught on camera fleeing police

PLACER COUNTY, Calif. (KOLO) – A man is facing felony charges after police say he fled from police in August.

On August 21, a Placer County Sheriff’s Office deputy spotted a car with an expired registration on Athens Avenue near Industrial Avenue. Police say the driver did not stop, but drove off at high speed and gave chase.

During the chase, the driver crossed into oncoming traffic, running red lights and stop signs before getting onto Highway 65.

Shortly after getting onto the highway, the driver slammed on the brakes and jumped out of a rolling car. According to police, he then jumped over the center divider and ran across the oncoming lane.

The suspect, 21-year-old Edgar Delgadillo, turned himself in in Roseville and was taken to prison on charges including tax evasion from a police officer.
