What caused Mike Tyson’s medical flight emergency that postponed the Jake Paul fight

Mike Tyson’s health scare that delayed his fight with Jake Paul is behind him, the legendary boxer said Thursday.

“No more ulcers. “Everything is clean,” he told the Daily Mail. “I ate too much bad food and stuff and got sick. I ate too much poorly processed food.”

Tyson has been training for a fight with Paul – at least since the fight was announced on March 7, 2024, with an originally scheduled date of July 20.

A frightening medical situation involving Tyson occurred on May 27 when flight attendants called for a doctor aboard a cross-country flight.

Paramedics boarded the flight as soon as it landed and Tyson was diagnosed with stomach ulcers.

The medical incident forced Tyson to take a break from training for the fight and the fight was postponed.

Tyson and Paul agreed to postpone the fight for four months and it is scheduled to air live on Netflix on November 15th.

Ahead of the fight, Tyson began posting training videos on social media that showed him running and punching mitts.

Fans had a lot of fun with the clips as Tyson tries to get in shape for a critical fight that would impact his professional record.

“Iron Mike” hasn’t had a sanctioned fight since 2005, a loss to Kevin McBride.

Tyson (50-6) fought to a draw against Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition boxing match in 2020.

Paul and Tyson will meet at heavyweight for two minutes each over eight rounds.

Tyson was offered $5 million by Paul if he lasted more than four rounds. The downside is that Tyson would have to get an “I love Jake Paul” tattoo if he couldn’t do this.
